Favorite subjects when you were in school: Home Economics (I was awesome on a sewing machine!) and Art

Who was one of your favorite teachers and why do you remember them?: Miss Ruter was my favorite teacher. She taught high school home economics at Forreston High School. Miss Ruter had the greatest sense of humor and she was very skilled at what she taught. I became a home ec. teacher because of her and went to the same college she did. I remember that she used to call us "Lady-O's"!

Interesting or little-known fact about you: I was the accompanist for the Highland College Royal Scots for three years after high school. For one of the variety shows I wrote a western soap opera called "As the Butter Churns" which was performed in the show and got lots of laughs. In another variety show I dressed up as Shirley Temple. I sang and tap danced to "Animal Crackers in My Soup".
