Games with Dominoes
Dominoes
How to Play Dominoes
To start, lay the dominoes with their dots down in the boneyard. (The boneyard is a spread out pile of dominoes that haven't been drawn yet.) Each player draws seven dominoes. You may look at your own dominoes, but keep them so no one else can see the dots. The first player lays one domino face up. The next player has to play a domino that matches the dots on either of the ends. For example, if the first player puts down a domino with three dots on one end and five on the other, the second player could put down a domino that had either three or five dots on one end. If a player cannot play, they draw dominoes from the boneyard until they can play. The first player to play all of their dominoes wins.
Solitaire Dominoes
Can't find anyone to play dominoes with? Just play by yourself. Place all of the dominoes, dots down, in the boneyard. Draw seven dominoes. This time you may turn the dominoes up. Play your first domino. Then play as many of your dominoes as you can. When you cannot play or have used up all your dominoes, draw seven more dominoes from the boneyard. Continue until you have used all the dominoes or you can't play another piece.
